REDUCTION IN PROVINCIAL GRAND LODGE DUES |
Brethren, |
We are all caught up in this crisis that has over swept the World and affected all our lives, those of our families, friends and Masonic connections. |
When Mark Grand Lodge announced an initial four Month postponement of our Lodges and activities, until July, it was a decision taken to protect all of our members. |
The age profile of the majority of our membership puts many in the vulnerable group and the concern of Grand Lodge was that as many as possible should safely see out this crisis. |
Likewise, on a Provincial level our concern was to protect our membership and their families in every possible way and the postponement of Lodge meetings was a small price to pay to achieve this. |
The Provincial Executive have been meeting regularly by video link to maintain as much as possible the normal functioning of West Lancashire Mark but have been very mindful that the disruption of Lodge meetings has caused many problems, some financially, for those units. |
The cancellation of Provincial Grand Lodge next week is one of those disruptions and the enjoyment of our Brethren especially those who would have been invested on the day has been foremost in our minds. |
We understand that some Lodges will have lost a number of regular meetings that cannot be made up and arrangements have been made to accommodate Installation ceremonies and the implication of those lost meetings. |
In an attempt to ease some of the financial burden on the Brethren we have, after consultation with the Provincial Grand Treasurer, decided to reduce the PROVINCIAL DUES for this year by 50% for both Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Lodges. |
It is hoped that this will assist all Lodges to maintain stability until regular meetings and streams of income are restored. |
Stay safe |
